We’re Going to Disney World!

Mrs. MouseWatcher here, announcing that our next Disney trip is right around the corner! in just 2 weeks I’ll be making my way to the Magic Kingdom with MouseWatcher’s official research assistant Dr. Robinson. She’s been doing Disney with me for years. Our goal to experience every ride, attraction, show and parade the Magic Kingdom has to offer.

Dining Plans

We’re very excited about some new dining experiences we have booked. Using the MouseWatcher alert system we were able to get a reservation for Storybook Dining, the brand new character dining experience at Artist Point, and our very first princess breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table. We also snagged a reservation at Chef Paul and spots at the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party.

We’re also looking forward to some of our favorite, never miss foods. Casey’s Corner hot dogs and parade watching are ritual for every trip. Poutine and Brown Elephants in Epcot are a must and Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe if at all possible.

So much magical food and so little time!

Magical Extras

We’re also taking advantage of a pilot program Disney is offering. In January 2018 Disney quietly starting testing a program that lets guests staying in rooms at select Walt Disney World resort hotels that are eligible for Disney Signature Services, and who have purchased a 3-day or longer theme park ticket or Annual Pass are able to purchase a new “theme park extra.” Essentially, If you book a club level stay at Disney World deluxe resorts you can purchase 3 additional FastPasses per person per day. As a bonus, these Fast Passes aren’t bound to the rules of regular FastPasses. That means there’s no tier restrictions and they can be used in different parks on the same day. The cost is $50 plus tax per person per day with a minimum booking of 3 days.

FastPass Pilot Program:

  • Three additional FastPass+ selections per day.
  • Ability to reserve these three additional FastPass+ selections in more than one theme park when a valid Park Hopper option is also purchased.
  • Booking window of up to 90 days in advance for these three additional FastPass+ selections and the ability to book them at multiple top-tier attractions.
  • $50 plus tax per person per day.

Currently, since this is a pilot program, the only way to take advantage of it is to call Disney Signature Services 90 days before the last day of your stay.

We’re also going to finally try out the Minnie Van service.

There’s lots of new experiences in store for the MouseWatcher team on this trip!

We’ll be posting all the food and fun of our trip on Facebook and Instagram so be sure to follow us. And I’ll follow up with a post after our trip about whether or not the cost of these magical extras is worth the time savings.
