Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort

Spooky Season is officially open in Disneyland and goes through October 31.

Halloween Time transforms both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure with hauntingly fun décor, seasonal foods, and themed merchandise throughout October. Guests visiting Disneyland Park can experience the iconic Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, featuring characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Space Mountain also gets a spooky makeover with Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy, adding thrills and chills to the beloved attraction. The Main Street Pumpkin Festival, with its giant Mickey-shaped pumpkin, provides a festive photo opportunity for guests entering Disneyland Park.

The Halloween Screams show is a projection and special effects show that will light up Disneyland Park most nights of the Halloween season. The show is enhanced with fireworks on select nights. You can book the Halloween Screams Dining Package at Plaza Inn to enjoy some spooky treats and reserved viewing area for the Halloween Screams Nighttime Spectacular. Reservations are highly recommended. Same-day reservations can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability.

You can also book the Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour that takes you on a frightfully fun guided tour around Disneyland Park to unearth chilling stories and thrilling experiences—and to watch Halloween Screams, a nighttime spectacular, from a special viewing area!

Things also get spooky in Disney California Adventure Park too. Haul-O-Ween in Cars Land has the residents of Radiator Springs dressing in silly costumes and decorating their homes and shops. Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree are two ride overlays in Cars Land. Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission Breakout! also gets a Halloween overlay, becoming Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark.

One of the most anticipated events at Disneyland Resort, Oogie Boogie Bash continues throughout October on select nights at Disney California Adventure. This separately-ticketed event features immersive trick-or-treating trails, including fan-favorite villains, and the spooky “Villains Grove” walk-through experience.
