All of our favorites are returning including Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show, but Disney announced some new surprises for this year!
1. Mickey and Minnie Got a Costume Upgrade
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will greet guests in their usual spot during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in their brand-new neon spiderweb costumes.
2. More Villains
We love all the villains and Disney is teasing new selfie opportunities with villains during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween. This is purely speculation on our part but it sounds like there will be new villains wandering the parks and taking photos in addition to the usual special photo ops on the party map. We’ll just have to wait and see.
3. Bye-bye Zom-Beatz Bash – Hello DescenDANCE
A new dance party will be replacing the Zom-Beatz Bash at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland. This new rave is inspired by the Descendants series of Disney Original Movies.
4. We Don’t Talk About This One But…
You’re going to want to talk about this. Because yes, we’re talking about Bruno. For the first time during the party, you can meet Bruno alongside Mirabel at their Casita in Fairytale Garden.
5. New Earlier Start Time for “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade”!
This one could be a game changer for how you plan to navigate the party. This year, Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade will take place at an earlier time – 8:15 PM. I’m sure this will make party nights a little easier for parents with littles, but it will also change how everyone else plans their party nights and I’m curious to see what the new logistics will be.
So that’s all the new stuff. Returning favorites include “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show, hosted by Jack Skellington, the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show, and trick-or-treating throughout the park. Popular attractions with special Halloween overlays will be back as well, including Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, and Mad Tea Party.
Also back – Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party, which includes fireworks viewing from Plaza Garden or Tomorrowland Terrace. Reservations for this experience open on June 7.
