Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Snacks Ranked

Here’s everything we ate at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and how they rank.

We didn’t get to try everything because, we’re only human and some locations ran out of a lot of things before we got to them. Downside of going to one of the first parties of the year I guess.

#8 – The Sugar Plum Sundae at Storybook Treats

Sugar Plum Sundae: Sugar plum soft-serve atop sugar cookie crumbs and topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and cotton candy (New) (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only)

Two words – Sugar Bomb. I mean, most of the party treats are sweets but this one was the most in your face, overly sweet, doubled down on the sugar thing we had the entire week, not just the entire night. It wasn’t bad at all, it’s just one of those, two bites and you’re pretty much done with it kind of treats.

#7 – The “Christmas-style” Chicken Tamale at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe

Chicken Tamale served “Christmas-style” with mild red chile and green chile-pumpkin seed sauces, cilantro rice, pinto beans, and queso fresco (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only)

I was disappointed that this one didn’t wow me since there’s a limited number of savory menu items at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It wasn’t bad at all, it just didn’t really impress. The tamale itself was actually kind of bland, but the cilantro lime rice it comes with is tasty. This was our least favorite party-exclusive treat from this location.

#6 – The Christmas Cookie Cake at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Christmas Cookie Cake: Christmas cookie cake roll with buttercream and topped with holiday sprinkles (New) (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only)

This is a solid party snack option. There’s nothing wrong with it at all and you won’t be disappointed if you order it. The reason it’s so low on our list is that it’s just… kind of basic compared to other party snacks. It’s like the grocery store cake of party treats. You pay extra for these party tickets so you expect the “party-exclusive” items to wow you a bit and this one just doesn’t.

#5 – The Holiday Turkey Burger at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Holiday Turkey Burger: Turkey burger topped with traditional stuffing, provolone cheese, and cranberry chutney on a brioche bun (New) (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only)

This is one of the more filling options during the party, so if you didn’t eat dinner before the party this is a great option. (Bonus – it’s at the same location as our number one pick so you can try both.) The turkey burger was very good, but it’s a little dry because of the stuffing. It could definitely use some kind of sauce in addition to the cranberry chutney but is otherwise a good festive dinner option.

#4 – The Cranberry Citrus Float with Orange-Vanilla Soft-serve Twist at Sunshine Tree Terrace

Cranberry Citrus Float with Orange-Vanilla Soft-serve Twist: Orange-vanilla soft-serve twist with Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry and fruity boba pearls (Non-alcoholic beverage) (New) (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and regular park hours)

This one is not a party-only treat, but if you’re only going to be in Magic Kingdom for the Christmas party, we definitely recommend trying this one anyway. It’s a light and refreshing take on the traditionally warm holiday flavors.

#3 – The Orange-Cranberry Pineapple Punch at Pecos Bill Tall Tale

Inn & Cafe

Orange-Cranberry Pineapple Punch with a hint of “smoke” from the fireplace (Non-alcoholic beverage) (New) (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only)

Hands down our favorite beverage from party night. The hint of smokey flavor reminds you of a holiday whiskey cocktail. But since it’s Magic Kingdom, it is sadly, only a non-alcoholic beverage option. A girl can dream.

#2 – The Chocolate Eggnog Reindeer at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe

Chocolate Eggnog Reindeer: Chocolate tart topped with eggnog mousse and chocolate antlers (New) (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only)

This is a grown-up level dessert. The chocolate tart is a rich, deep, dark chocolate. The crust was kind of hard to cut but I really didn’t care because the eggnog mouse and the chocolate tart filling were soooo good.

#1 – The Holiday Pot Roast Melt at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Holiday Pot Roast Melt: Slow-cooked beef on thick toast with cheddar and provolone cheese and beef gravy (New) (Available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only)

If you’re only going to eat one thing at the party, this should be it. Its not the prettiest thing on the party menu but it was definitely the tastiest thing we ate. On a night filled with sugary treats, this was a very welcome savory option. The slow cooked beef was tender and tasty and just fell apart. The gravy makes it kind of messy to eat but it’s totally worth it. If they put some of that gravy on the turkey burger it would probably place higher on our list.
