Returning party favorites include Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, character greetings, Santa at Storybook Circus, dance parties, holiday ride overlays, and complimentary cookies and festive beverages at select locations.
For families who want the classic Disney World Christmas experience, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is still the big one: snow on Main Street, U.S.A., toy soldiers in the parade, holiday fireworks over Cinderella Castle, and that warm, nostalgic Magic Kingdom feeling.
Disney Jollywood Nights 2026 Dates
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Jollywood Nights returns with a more glamorous, old-Hollywood holiday feel. This separately ticketed event runs on select nights from November 7, 2026 through January 5, 2027, which is a notable change because the event extends into January for the first time.

Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, festive entertainment around the park, specialty food and drinks available for purchase, Disney PhotoPass downloads included with the event ticket, and more than 20 character experiences.
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays 2026 Dates
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth returns from November 27 through December 30, 2026. Unlike the holiday parties, this festival is included with regular EPCOT admission, though food, beverages, merchandise, scavenger hunts, and some offerings cost extra.
Festival favorites returning in 2026 include:
Holiday Storytellers around World Showcase
Guests can experience holiday traditions from Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, and more.
Candlelight Processional
Disney has confirmed that Candlelight Processional will return to America Gardens Theatre with celebrity narrators, a mass choir, and a full orchestra. Narrator and dining package details have not been announced yet.
Holiday Kitchens and the Holiday Cookie Stroll
Holiday Kitchens will return with seasonal food and beverages from around the world, and the fan-favorite Holiday Cookie Stroll is also back for 2026.
Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses
This peaceful EPCOT holiday overlay returns with twinkling lights and seasonal decor inside the greenhouses.
For Disney food lovers, EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is one of the biggest dining-related pieces of the season. Disney Food Blog is already highlighting the return of the Holiday Kitchens, Cookie Stroll, and Candlelight Processional as major reasons to plan an EPCOT day during the festival.
More Holiday Fun Around Walt Disney World
Disney has also confirmed holiday offerings across the rest of Walt Disney World.
At Magic Kingdom, guests can expect holiday decor, Jingle Cruise, Frozen Holiday Surprise, and Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away on non-party nights. Disney notes that Disney Starlight will not be performed on evenings when Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, holiday decor returns throughout the park, along with Sunset Seasons Greetings, seasonal touches in Toy Story Land, and Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine. Disney specifically recommends advance reservations for Minnie’s Holiday Dine, with same-day reservations available only on a limited basis and subject to availability.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Merry Menagerie returns to Discovery Island with artisan-sculpted arctic animal puppets, and the Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition will light up the park after sunset. Mickey and Minnie will also meet guests at Adventurers Outpost in holiday attire.
At Disney Springs, guests can look forward to the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll, nightly snowfall in Town Center, Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, Santa through December 24, holiday shopping, and seasonal entertainment.
Disney Resort hotels will also be decorated for the season, with holiday decor and seasonal food and beverage items expected at many resort locations. Disney’s announcement specifically mentions resort holiday decor for guests staying at the resorts or those with valid dining reservations, so this is a good year to plan resort dining intentionally rather than assuming every holiday resort stop will be simple to access.
Holiday Dining Reservations to Watch
The holidays are one of the most festive times to dine at Walt Disney World, but they can also be one of the trickiest times to find the reservations you want. Between party nights, festival plans, resort touring, and seasonal character meals, dining plans can shift quickly.
A few holiday dining experiences and reservation categories worth watching include:
Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine
This seasonal character dining experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of the most directly holiday-themed meals Disney has announced so far for 2026. Disney recommends advance reservations, and same-day reservations are limited and subject to availability
Candlelight Processional Dining Packages
Disney has confirmed that Candlelight Processional will return, but narrator and dining package details have not been announced yet. These dining packages are popular because they guarantee reserved seating for a Candlelight Processional performance.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dining
Disney lists bookable dining during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and The Plaza Restaurant, plus drinks and snacks at The Beak & Barrel. Valid admission for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on the same night is required, and bookable dining is not included in the party ticket price. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
Resort Dining During the Holiday Season
Resort restaurants can become especially popular during the holidays because many guests like to pair a meal with decorations, monorail resort visits, or a quieter break from the parks. With Disney’s holiday announcement specifically referencing resort guests and guests with valid dining reservations for resort decor, a dining reservation may also help give your resort holiday plans more structure.
MouseWatcher Tip: Plan Your Holiday Dining, Then Let Us Watch for Openings
Disney holiday trips are magical, but they can also involve a lot of moving pieces: party tickets, park days, festival plans, resort time, and dining reservations.
That’s where MouseWatcher can help.
With MouseWatcher, you create an alerts for the Disney restaurant or activity reservation you’re hoping to find. Then we’ll search around the clock for available reservations that match your alert. No need to keep refreshing the Disney website or app!
Each time we find an opening, MouseWatcher will send you a text and/or email notification with a link to book the reservation through your Disney account. Notifications are unlimited on every alert.
A few holiday planning tips:
Make sure your phone number is included. Text notifications are the fastest way to receive MouseWatcher notifications.
Stay logged in to your Disney account on your phone. Saving your login information can help you move faster when a reservation opens.
Keep your Alerts active, even close to your trip. Guests change plans all the time, especially around party nights and festival days, so last-minute openings can happen.
Remember the 60-day public reservation window. MouseWatcher can only search Disney’s 60-day publicly available reservation window. Individual Alerts can be set up 61 days in advance, and subscription alerts can be set up 90 days in advance, but MouseWatcher cannot begin searching until 60 days before the target search date.
Individual alerts start at $5, and pricing adjusts based on how far out your target search dates are. Subscription plans are also available for guests searching for multiple reservations.
Final Thoughts
The 2026 Walt Disney World holiday season is shaping up to be a busy one, with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney Jollywood Nights, EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, holiday dining, resort decor, and Disney Springs festivities all competing for space on your itinerary.
The best approach is to choose your priority dates early, decide which holiday events matter most to your group, and start thinking about the dining reservations that would make your trip feel complete.
And when the reservation you want is not available, MouseWatcher can keep searching for you. That way, you can spend less time refreshing and more time looking forward to the holiday magic.
